ClickUp Document Register: A Verifiable Record of Everything You Issue

The Render Registry is a built-in, searchable record of every certificate, invoice and document you produce from ClickUp. Anyone holding a printed document can scan its QR code and see whether it is still valid, revoked or expired.

Flat Cost

Records by Rule, Not by Meter.

The register is built from your records by code, not by an AI model, so keeping and verifying records never uses AI credits and there is no AI add-on to buy. It is part of your Render account, not a separate tool to set up.

  • No AI credits consumed
  • No Make or Zapier license needed
  • No scenarios to build, test or monitor
  • No AI add-on tier to upgrade to

How It Syncs

One Central Registry, Always in Step With ClickUp

Work happens in your ClickUp Lists. Render responds as it changes, writes the results back, and keeps every record in one central Registry. That same Registry is synced to a private list in your own workspace, so your agents and automations can use it as data.

Responds as Work Changes

A ClickUp automation tells Render when a task reaches the status you chose. The number, document or code is created and written back to the task.

One Central Record

Every document is recorded once, with its values, every file version and its history, whichever Render tool produced it.

A Private List for Agents

An optional copy of the Registry lives in a private ClickUp list. Agents and automations can read it, and Render reports any hand edits instead of overwriting them.

What It Does

A Searchable Register With Public Verification

Every document you issue is recorded, and every record can be checked.

Registry · · Illustrative

Searchable Register

Find any record by number, title or task, filter by status, and see every file version and what happened to it.

Public QR Verification

Anyone with the document can scan its QR code and see whether it is valid, revoked or expired. The page is checked live on every visit and shows only what you choose to share.

Revoke, Never Delete

Withdraw a record with a reason and reinstate it later if needed. The record, the file and its history are always kept.

Valid-Until Dates

Set an expiry date and the record reads Expired the moment it lapses, with no job to wait for. The last day is included.

Private When You Need It

Hide a record from the public page at any time. A hidden link looks exactly like one that never existed.

Your Data, Your Copy

Export the whole register to CSV in one click, or keep a copy as ordinary tasks in your own ClickUp list, with drift reporting that leaves your edits alone unless you ask otherwise.

How It Works

How the ClickUp Document Register Works

Set up once in Render. The automation itself stays in ClickUp.

1

Issue a Document

When a Structured Output produces a document, Render records it automatically, with its values, file and a verification link.

2

Add a QR Code

Put the QR code on the document layout so the printed copy points back to the live record.

3

Anyone Can Verify

Scanning the code opens a public page that says whether the document is valid, revoked or expired.

4

Manage the Record

Revoke, reinstate, set a valid-until date, make a record private or export the register whenever you need to.

Use Cases

What Teams Keep in the Registry

A few of the ways teams put it to work.

Certificates

Completion and qualification certificates that can be verified by anyone.

Training and CPD Records

Attendance records with expiry dates and a clear status.

Inspection and Compliance Records

Statements and reports with a trail of what was issued and when.

Licences and Permits

Invoices and Quotes

A record of what was sent, with every version kept.

Delivery and Handover Documents

Proof of what was delivered, searchable later by number or task.

FAQ

Questions About Registry

Not here? Ask us.

Is the Registry a separate tool?

No. It is built into your Render account and works with Structured Outputs, the Sequencer and Code Linker. Documents are recorded as they are issued.

What can a stranger see on the verification page?

The title, the status, the reference number, the issue and valid-until dates and the name of the issuer. If a record was revoked, the date and the reason you gave are shown, so write the reason with that in mind. Nothing from the document values is shown and there is no download.

Can I revoke a document?

Yes. Admins and owners can revoke with a reason and reinstate later. The record, the file and the history stay, and the public page updates at once.

Can I hide a record from the public page?

Yes. A private record answers exactly like an unknown one.

Can I get my data out?

Yes. Export the whole register as a CSV with a column for every value, or keep a copy of the register as tasks in your own ClickUp list.

What if someone edits the ClickUp copy?

Render reports the difference as drift and leaves your edit alone by default. You can switch the policy to repair it from the record instead.
