Agentic Automation
Where Agentic Automation Fits in Data Science & Analytics
Agents handle the judgment calls and repetitive follow-up. Rules keep the predictable steps predictable, and people stay in control of anything that matters.
Request Scoping
An agent reads each BI request, flags missing definitions or data sources and drafts clarifying questions for the requester. An analyst reviews the questions before they are sent.
Pipeline Failure Notes
When a pipeline job fails, an agent collects the error context and recent changes and opens a task with a short summary. A data engineer decides on the fix and any rerun.
Experiment Summaries
An agent pulls run notes and results from linked tasks into a draft experiment summary with metrics side by side. The researcher edits it before sharing.
Stale Report Checks
An agent lists dashboards that have had no views or have unresolved data issues and drafts a retire-or-refresh recommendation. The report owner makes the call.
FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
Does ClickUp replace our BI and notebook tools?
No. Analysis and modeling stay in the tools built for them. ClickUp manages the requests, maintenance and research tracking around them, and agents help connect the two.
What happens with sensitive data?
Agents work with task text, summaries and metadata by default rather than raw datasets. We agree with you which data an agent may see, and we keep personal or restricted data out of agent workflows unless your policies allow it.
Can an agent publish a report or change a pipeline?
Only if you permit it. We typically set agents to draft and flag, with a person approving anything that goes to stakeholders or changes production, and a log of every action.
