ClickUp supports project planning with Gantt view, dependencies, milestones and a Reschedule dependencies option that cascades date changes. Slack time needs Business or above, and baselines were in early access with usage limits. This guide shows how to build a plan that holds together and the configuration we deliver.

Gantt View
Tasks, dates and dependencies on a timeline. Critical path highlighting is a Gantt setting.
Dependencies
Dependencies show which tasks block or wait on others. Advanced dependency types are rolling out in stages, so check which ones your Workspace has before you design around them.
Reschedule Dependencies
A toggle that cascades a date change through dependent tasks, so moving one task moves the chain.
Milestones and Baselines
Milestones show as diamonds, and any task can be made one. Baselines were in early access, with usage limits on paid plans.

The Gaps People Run Into
If these are your problem, keep reading.
- A plan is only as accurate as its dependencies. Missing links mean dates will not cascade.
- Slack time needs Business or above, and baseline access and limits should be checked for your plan.
- Dependencies show what is waiting, but they do not stop someone changing a task.
- Rescheduling cascades can move many dates at once, so review changes before sharing the plan.
- Resource constraints are a separate question, handled in Workload, not in Gantt.
